The rooms – mainly in the old stable block, though you wouldn’t think it – have been designed with great flair and imagination, and come complete with superb bathrooms and all those little extras you find at top hotels. Most also have private patios leading to another of Canaston’s stunning features – a courtyard designed around the theme of a Celtic cross. Eleanor’s eye for detail and fastidious standards are everywhere to be seen. And she doesn’t like her guests to go hungry. Fresh fruit, home-baked goodies and local produce are all on the breakfast menu. Centrally located Canaston is handy for all of Pembrokeshire and is close to Narberth’s fashionable shops and the new Bluestone attraction.
